What feels like a long period of waiting, we finally got a brief glimpse of what the new TV Anime adaptation of CLAMP‘s Magic Knight Rayearth will look. Including a release window of 2026.

The official website of the anime released a teaser visual depicting Hikaru, Umi and Fuu at Tokyo Tower, the place that started a new journey for the trio. At this time, there is no additional information regarding the cast, crew, or the project itself, it has been a year since the anime was announced.
Magical Knight Rayearth was first serialized in Kodansha’s Nakayoshi Magazine, the series ran from November 1993 to February 1995, consisting of three bound volumes. It would also receive a sequel that was also serialized in the same magazine from March 1995 to April 1996. It would inspire an anime adaptation, a three-part OVA, and several video game adaptions.

While on a field trip to Tokyo Tower, three teenage girls cross a magical portal and are transported to another world called Cefiro. There they are summoned through the last remaining strength of the Princess Emeraude, who believes the trio will become the magic knights who will save her, as prophesied by legend.
