McDonald’s Japan Announces Collaboration with Capcom’s Street Fighter!

With Burger King currently having a collaboration involving Shueisha and Takeru Hokazono’s Kagurabachi manga series, McDonald’s Japan announced a new collaboration involving Capcom’s Street Fighter video game franchise set to take place for a limited time starting Wednesday, October 22nd.

In this new collab, McDonald’s is releasing a new line of meals inspired by Capcom’s Street Fighter later this month, calling it “Street Burgers” as part of an inspired promotion that also includes ketchup-and-mustard-inspired costumes for the cast of Street Fighter 6. Three new sandwiches inspired by Ryu, Ken, and Chun-Li.

The Street Fighter video game franchise was created by Takashi Nishiyama, and Hiroshi Matsumoto with Street Fighter on August 30, 1987. Since its debut, it has been followed by six main series games, various spin-off titles, crossovers, and numerous guest appearances in other media. Street Fighter is one of the highest-grossing video game franchises of all time and one of Capcom’s flagship series, with total sales of 56 million units worldwide as of March 2025. It is also one of the highest-grossing media franchises and is the longest-running fighting game franchise.
