The new trailer and key visual for the TV Adaptation of Rumiko Takahashi’s Ranma 1/2 were revealed yesterday for the upcoming second season.

Aside from the romantic chaos, the trailer highlights new arrivals Mousse, Ukyo, Happosai, Cologne, and Gosunkugi, also introducing the new season’s opening theme song “Wo ai ni” (meaning “I love you” in Chinese) performed by Japanese musical unit WEDNESDAY CAMPANELLA for the first time. Season 2 will air on Nippon TV every Saturday at 24:55 JST starting October 4, 2025, with nationwide broadcasts following and exclusive streaming on Netflix immediately after each episode airs.
Ranma 1/2 was first serialized in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine from August 1986 to March 1996, consisting of 407 chapters collected into 38 tankōbon volumes. The manga would inspire two anime adaptations, three animated films, 11 OVAs, 17 video game adaptations, and a live-action special. Viz Media publishes the manga for English Audiences and has it available to read on their website.
Years ago, Genma promised his old friend Soun Tendo that Ranma would marry one of Soun’s three daughters and carry on the family’s martial arts school. Except that the girl picked to be Ranma’s bride doesn’t seem to like him, Ranma keeps getting into fights…and did we mention that whole changing into a girl thing?
