Tojima Wants to Be a Kamen Rider Gets Three New Cast Members, a New Trailer

Recently, Aniplex revealed new information on the upcoming TV Anime adaptation of Yokusaru Shibata’s Tojima Wants to Be a Kamen Rider that included four new cast members, a third promotional video, and the show’s key visual during Saturday’s Aniplex Online Fest Event.

The anime is set to premiere will premiere on Tokyo MX on October 4 at 24:30 JST (effectively, October 5 at 12:30 a.m.). Crunchyroll will stream the anime under the title Tojima Wants to Be a Kamen Rider. Listed below will be joining the previously announced cast, including a special message from Kenjiro Tsuda, who is also part of the new cast members:

Takahiro Ikezoe (Shinkansen Henkei Robo Shinkalion) directs the Tojima Wants to Be a Kamen Rider anime at studio LIDEN FILMS, with series composition by Toko Machida (YAIBA: Samurai Legend), character designs by Cindy H. Yamauchi (Akudama Drive), and music by TeddyLoid (New PANTY & STOCKING with GARTERBELT).

Tojima Wants to Be a Kamen Rider was written and illustrated by Yokusaru Shibata, with cooperation by Toei and Ishimori Productions. It began serialization in Hero’s Inc.’s seinen manga magazine Monthly Hero’s in May 2018. After the magazine’s disbandment in October 2020, it was transferred to the Comiplex website in November of the same year.

Tanzaburo Tojima, a forty-year-old man who is abnormally obsessed with the Kamen Rider franchise. Tojima is about to give up on his dream of becoming a hero until a chance encounter with a robber changes his fate forever.
