Important Note from the Writer: With an iconic shop coming to the United States, the imported goods being offered will most likely be impacted by Trump Tariffs. The new measures, which went into effect in July and August 2025, place a 15% tariff on many Japanese imports and ended the “$800 de minimis” exemption for low-value shipments. Recently, the Trump administration suspended a tariff exemption for low-cost goods worldwide that was seen as a loophole hurting U.S. manufacturers, while its country-specific tariffs include a 15 percent rate for imports from JapanTariffs are passed onto the consumer in the form of higher taxes that hurt not only the economy, but also harm small and local businesses.
