If you haven’t seen James Gunn’s Superman Film, then you’re in luck. Early Tuesday morning on Twitter, James Gunn announced that Superman is preparing to make a Superhero landing on Digital platforms on Friday, August 15th.

Gunn went on to say that the home release was set for Friday, but encouraged the public to catch the film in theaters while they still can, hinting that the movie would be reaching the end of the line for its theatrical run. While there were fans who were happy to hear the news, its critics slammed Warner Bros and DC Studios’ decision to release the film early on Social Media. If the hint is true, it would have spent six weeks in theaters, Its latest box office is $578.8 million globally following weekend five, having added $7.8 million internationally last weekend and a domestic weekend take of $7.8 million.

According to Forbes, the new Superman film has now grossed more than Man of Steel at the domestic box office and has become the best-selling Superman film in the United States, also currently the highest-grossing superhero film year-to-date. But it still faces obstacles at the International Box Office, due to the amount of anti-American sentiment around the world right now (Gunn didn’t specify in his comments, but it would be obvious why there is this kind of sentiment right now. The Trump Administration’s policies regarding DEI, Mainstream Media, immigration, Tariffs, and border control. Policies such as these are reason enough that the U.S. stands to lose out on $12.5 billion in international traveler spending this year, owing to a decline in “international traveler confidence.”) Last week, Warner Bros CEO David Zaslav confirmed that Gunn was now writing and preparing to direct the next movie in the “Super-Family,” and he declared Superman “the beginning of a new era for DC Studios.” It has also been confirmed that the physical media release date for Superman has been set for September 23rd, and pre-orders are available for the following:
