Weekly Shonen Jump Announces First Ever Collaboration with Pokémon

Shueisha has been known for its fascinating collaborations, but this latest collab has fans talking. Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump Magazine will be taking part in its very first collaboration with Pokémon.

The combined issue (36•37) will showcase a cover illustration that brings together Pokémon and characters from each serialized manga in Weekly Shonen Jump, beginning on August 4. On August 18, the 38th issue will continue the collaboration with special stickers featuring the same group illustration. The images provided, consisting of Luffy and Pikachu (Drawn by Eiichiro Oda, One Piece), Chinatsu Kano, and Totodile (Drawn by Kouji Miura, Blue Box), and Roboco and Mega Blaziken (Drawn by Shuhei Miyazaki, Me & Roboco).

In addition, there will be additional campaigns and premium giveaways, utilizing newly drawn collaboration art, which are also planned. This project is the first of its kind for Shonen Jump Authors. Also, pre-orders are available now for the latest Pokémon title, Pokémon Legends Z-A, which will be released on October 16.
