In a surprise announcement from Viz Media, the Media Publisher announced its acquisition of season three of the TV Anime, One Punch Man, adapted from the manga series written by ONE and illustrated by Yusuke Murata.
The acquisition encompasses theatrical, television, digital, home entertainment, ancillary, and merchandise rights across North America, Latin America, and Oceania. The Japanese broadcast of Season 3 is scheduled to premiere in October 2025. Additional details regarding streaming availability in VIZ Media territories will be announced in the coming weeks.
Fans will be able to catch up on Season One and Two on Hulu (U.S.) and Netflix (Canada and Latin America). Digital purchase options are also available via Amazon Prime Video and Fandango at Home (U.S.) and through Google, Apple TV, Microsoft Movies & TV, and YouTube (U.S. and Canada).

One Punch Man was created by ONE, which first started as a webcomic series in 2009. It would be three years later when ONE would remake the manga with illustrations by Yusuke Murata and began publication on Shueisha’s Tonari no Young Jump website in June 2012. The chapters are compiled and published into individual tankōbon volumes. As of April 2025, 33 volumes have been released. Viz Media licensed the manga and published it for North American and English Audiences in 2013, and the chapters are released digitally on their Shonen Jump app, along with the volumes released in both print and digitally. The manga would inspire a TV Anime, a console video game, a video game collaboration with Blizzard Entertainment, a mobile game, and soon a live-action film.
