In a surprise announcement from Prime Video, a multi-title licensing deal was revealed with Glitch Productions that brings their creator-led animated web series to the streaming service. A new deal that would introduce new audiences to Glitch’s Indie-Animation universe, starting with their Sci-Fi Horror Comedy, Murder Drones.
Murder Drones is a fan-favorite series that has garnered over 270 Million Views on YouTube. It offers viewers a unique blend of humor, horror, and survival in a frozen post-apocalyptic world with hormonal (and sometimes murderous) robots. As of today, all eight episodes are available to stream on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.

The best part of this new deal is that Glitch is keeping 100% creative control, remaining independent, and the original series will continue to be released on YouTube. Prime Video will give them the support they need to do more for indie animation and creators. Murder Drones was created, directed, and written by Liam Vickers. The series is produced by Glitch Productions. The series received three nominations for a Webby Award in the Best Animated Video category, winning two, and actress Elsie Lovelock won an award in the category for Best Character Performance – Female for her performance as Uzi at the 2023 One Voice Awards UK.

From the twisted mind of Liam Vickers comes a heartwarming story of “destroy all humans.” Uzi, a sardonic teen worker robot gone rogue, befriends N, an excitable, optimistic disassembly drone sent to destroy her, creating what we can assume is a very bad relationship for mankind. Since its release in 2021, Murder Drones has become one of the most highly viewed animated series on YouTube. Spawning a massive fanbase of hardcore fans, the series has shown up in conventions, retail stores, fanworks, and is also standing right behind you.
