For the first time, Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely’s Eisner Award–winning graphic novel, All-Star Superman, is going to be adapted into an audiobook, thanks to a new collaboration involving DC and Penguin Random House Audio.
This new collaboration will feature a full cast of 25 voices, an original music score, and sound effects. This graphic novel was adapted for audiobook listeners by Meghan Fitzmartin, and it will feature a brand-new cover drawn by Frank Quietly. All-Star Superman is considered to be one of the best stories in the Character’s iconic history, whose story has taken many forms over the years, from the pages of Comic Books, through the radio, and onto screens all over the world. This new audiobook is a terrific tribute to the Adventures of Superman Radio Serials that debuted in February 1940 and ended in May 1951, consisting of 2,800 original episodes. The audiobook goes on sale on June 24, 2025.

Audiobook fans will recognize many of the newly announced cast, including the voice of Superman himself, narrator Marc Thompson, who is renowned among listeners for his work on numerous Star Wars audio productions. DC’s All-Star Superman is the first release in a new audiobook collaboration between DC and Penguin Random House Audio, which will adapt four additional classic DC comic book titles to be published on audio for the first time.

Created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, Superman made his heroic debut in Action Comics #1 in June 1938 (Cover Dated June 1938, published on April 18, 1938). Since his debut, Superman has been adapted into numerous forms of merchandise and media such as Television, Films, Radio Serials, Novels, Theater, and Video Games. All-Star Superman was adapted into an animated film in 2011, one of the final projects by writer Dwayne McDuffie, released the day after his death.
