Great news, the TV Anime adaptation of Ren Eguchi’s Campfire Cooking In Another World with My Absurd Skill‘s second season will be coming out later this year, confirming that it will debut in October.
But that’s not all, accompanying this news was a new trailer and a new addition to Tsuyoshi Mukouda’s party, a pixie dragon named ‘Dora-chan,’ voiced by Ayumu Murase (Haikyu!!, Hirogaru Sky! Precure, DR STONE). A new visual was also shared for the new season, along with a new promotional trailer.
The cast from season one will be returning for the second season, but there have been some slight changes to the staff. For example, Tsuyoshi Kuwahara (Twittering Birds Never Fly: The Clouds Gather) joins Nao Ōtsu on character designs, Shiho Tanaka and Eriko Itō replace Nao Ōtsu and Sara Sakoe as chief animation directors. Episode director Kenji Takahashi (Spy×Family, 2025’s The Rose of Versailles) is now the assistant director. Tomoki Nagino takes over the art direction from Hisako Akagi, who is now credited for art supervision. Kana Tanabe replaces Chikako Kamata as the color key artist. For Cuisine Supervision, BAX will be overseeing it, and Kodai Kato is promoted from the production desk to animation producer. MAPPA remains the animation production studio.
Campfire Cooking In Another World with My Absurd Skill is a Japanese light novel series written by Ren Eguchi. The series originated on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in January 2016, before being published in print with illustrations by Masa by Overlap beginning in November 2016 under their Overlap Novels imprint. As of February 2024, 15 volumes have been released. Its manga adaptation is written by Ren Eguchi and illustrated by Akagishi K., began serialization on the Comic Gardo website in March 2017. As of February 2024, the manga’s chapters have been collected into ten volumes. It has inspired a spin-off manga, Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill: Sui’s Great Adventure, which currently has eight volumes, with J-Novel Club (which also publishes the Light Novels and Manga for English audiences) confirming that they also licensed the spin-off manga in English. The TV anime is available now to stream on Crunchyroll and is available on Blu-ray.

One day, an ordinary office worker named Tsuyoshi Mukouda is suddenly summoned to another world. With his unique skill, “Online Grocery,” he brings modern-day condiments and ingredients into this fantasy realm. Using these, he cooks meals that attract powerful companions such as the legendary beast Fel and the slime Sui. Now, with a new companion joining the journey, their delicious travels begin anew!
