It was the moment fans had been waiting for, between fan animations, cleverly edited stills, and video game appearances, the TV Anime adaptation of Hirohiko Araki’s Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run has a new teaser trailer and new information.
It was JoJoDay, a fan event to celebrate the Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure franchise which aimed to connect the ‘Past’ and ‘Future’ of the series, also featuring voice actors and discussed the latest film Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan: At a Confessional (in Japanese theaters on May 23). The event also featured upcoming merchandise that included a new perfume line based on the characters, new figures, and more. Near the end of the event was a new teaser trailer, revealing that Steel Ball Run was in production.

To celebrate the anime adaptation announcement, all twenty-four volumes are available to read on Shueisha’s Young Jump App for a limited time (24 hours), It will apply for the period from April 13 at 00:00 to April 14 at 23:59 JST. Hirohiko Araki’s Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure was first serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump in 1987. It was transferred to Shueisha’s Ultra Jump Magazine in 2005. The manga consists of nine parts, and each part follows a protagonist whose name can be shortened to JoJo. Each part also features recurring characters and connected storylines. The First began with Phantom Blood and is currently in JoJoLands. The manga also inspired several manga spin-offs, Light Novels, Drama CDs, video games, and TV Anime. Viz Media publishes manga for English Audiences and recently announced the license acquisition of Steel Ball Run, the first volume will be available on May 27th. You can watch the first six parts of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure anime on Netflix and Blu-ray.
