Far-Fetched Pilot Kickstarter Launched Today, Already Passing 60k in Three Hours

Today’s the day, writer Dave Capdevielle, and Animator Ashley Nichols‘ Far-Fetched: The Pilot that Wouldn’t Die Kickstarter Campaign has officially opened and is already passing 60k in almost three hours.

So far, the Pilot Kickstarter has raised $63,680,000 out of its goal of $80,000 with 29 days to go and with over 500 backers. The announcement was made two hours ago on Twitter, including a special video to promote the Pilot and its opening intro.

What is Far-Fetched? It follows Rue, described as a walking quarter-life disaster and a proud new owner of a mistakenly unleashed Deviant Art-themed Creature named Kira. With her life in shambles, a childhood friend and hubris incarnate, Quinn drags her into his band called Sesamoid which consists of fellow members Piper, Warren, and Griff. The series has a 1980s Horror Comedy vibe set in the gothic/nerd culture of the mid-2000s.

Last month, Both Writer, Dave Capdevielle (Lackadaisy, Hazbin Hotel, Starter Squad) and animator, Ashley Nichols (Lackadaisy, Hazbin Hotel, The Amazing Digital Circus) had an exclusive interview with Animation World Network, which you can read at this link. Fun fact about this new Kickstarter, Iron Circus’ Spike Trotman is consulting on the campaign. Trotman also spoke to AWN about this new campaign, including what this campaign will have to offer. Far-Fetched is a project that fans (including yours truly) have been looking forward to, ever since the first reveal.
