Kamen Rider Kuuga Gets Another Visual and PV For Its 25th Anniversary

We’re two months away from the Super Kuuga Exhibition at the Gallery AaMo at Tokyo Dome City, and the Official Website for Kamen Rider Kuuga’s 25th Anniversary shared a brand-new visual and commercial to promote the big event.

This stunning new exhibition poster pays homage to the very first Kamen Rider Kuuga poster used to promote the television series. This reimagined poster features all eleven forms Kuuga can transform into, which includes the Suit actor, Kenji Tominaga.

The Super Kuuga Exhibition makes its first stop at the Tokyo Dome City’s Gallery AaMo from Saturday, June 14 through Sunday, July 6, located in Bunkyō, Japan. Tickets go on sale on Saturday, April 19, at Noon JST. For advance tickets for Adults (18 Years and Older) go for 2,800 yen (19.24 USD) and advance ticket prices for Under 17 (17 and under) it’s for 2,300 yen (15.80 USD). Meanwhile, same-day tickets are priced at 3,000 yen (20.61 USD) for Adults and those Under 17 priced at 2,500 yen (17.18 USD), and finally, admission is free for children under three. An advance lottery is currently going on that includes advance tickets and a limited edition S.H. FIGUARTS Kamen Rider Kuuga figure that is based on the Legendary Rinto Warrior, Riku, who was the original Kuuga. The lottery began on April 4 and will end on April 9 (Wednesday) at 11:59 pm JST, the Official website for the Kamen Kuuga 25th Anniversary has more information on that lottery.

The Super Kuuga Exhibition will be held in four cities in Japan, starting with the Tokyo Venue in June 2025, which will be followed by Fukuoka, Nagoya, and Osaka over a year, and is also scheduled to be held in Asia in 2026. It was also announced that Shigenori Takatera (Denji Sentai MegarangerSeiju Sentai Gingamanand Kamen Rider Kuuga) will be serving as the Exhibiton’s Supervisor. A new commercial for the upcoming event at the Gallery AaMo recently debuted, featuring Fumihiko Tachiki (Neon Genesis EvangelionKamen Rider Wand BLEACH) as the narrator, Tachiki also narrated the program previews at the time. New footage was shot for this new PV, it features Kenji Tominaga (Japan Action Enterprise) who also played Kamen Rider Kuuga in the television series.

Kamen Rider Kuuga serves as not only the tenth installment in the Kamen Rider Franchise but also the very first Kamen Rider in the Heisei Period. It was the first standalone Kamen Rider Television Series since Kamen Rider RX, it revived the franchise and brought the series into the 21st Century. Kuuga was the first Kamen Rider Television Series that was broadcast in a wide-screen (letterbox) format, which premiered on January 30, 2000, to January 21, 2001, consisting of 49 episodes, and four specials.

It would inspire two manga spin-offs, one featured in TeleCoro Comic magazine,  and its reboot series written by Toshiki Inoue and illustrated by Hitotsu Yokoshima, which would be later licensed by Titan Publishing Group for English publication under their new manga imprint. Kamen Rider Kuuga also inspired a S.I.C. Hero Saga Story series, a novel, and a video game. KAMEN RIDER KUUGA is available now on Tubi, SHOUT! Factory, Blu-ray, and YouTube.
