LoZ: Breath of the Wild, Tears of the Kingdom, and More Get Nintendo Switch 2 Editions
Not to a surprise by many, but Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom will be getting Nintendo Switch 2 Edition Upgrades with promises of “smoother frame rates, faster load times, and better graphics.” There will also be a new Zelda Notes app on the Nintendo Switch Online app that is exclusive to these new editions and will help players find shrines, Koroks, and other locations alongside commentary from Princess Zelda that wasn’t part of the original games, the new Switch 2 Editions will be available at launch. Kirby and the Forgotten Land is another title getting the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition treatment, which includes a brand new story called Star-Crossed World that will include new Mouthful Modes to utilize. Kirby and the Forgotten Land Nintendo Switch 2 Edition will be available on August 28, 2025.

Donkey Kong Bananza
He’s back with a new look and overalls! Donkey Kong Bananza is a new 3D platforming action-adventure game that has Donkey Kong crashing, bashing, and smashing his way through a new world. This adventure is full of mayhem, surprises, and bananas when Donkey Kong Bananza crashes exclusively onto Nintendo Switch 2 on July 17.

Kirby Air Riders
It was one of the biggest surprises at the end of the Direct and it involved Kirby Creator and Super Smash Bros. mastermind Masahiro Sakurai, who served as the project’s director. Kirby Air Riders is a sequel to the Nintendo GameCube’s Kirby Air Ride from 2003. The trailer revealed a cast of colorful bunch of Kirby and new spacey vehicles to travel with and a 2025 release date window.
