Like Wrestling Commentator, Jim Ross says “Business is about to pick up!“ And it’s certainly the case with this monumental announcement. The King of Strong Style, and three-time former WWE United States Champion, Shinsuke Nakamura is climbing out of the Wrestling Ring, and into the Voice Acting Booth for the Second Season of Kinnikuman: Perfect Origin Arc Season Two.
Shinsuke Nakamura has confirmed that this is his first voice-acting role, joining the cast as Kommandas, a powerful warrior who has close ties to Warsman. Kommandas was a comrade-in-arms, and shared rigorous training alongside Warsman, forging a bond through their shared struggles. Kommandas played an important role at the Tottori Sand Dunes. Nakamura is one of the most talented wrestlers in the world today, wrestling in promotions such as New Japan Pro-Wrestling, TNA Wrestling, and Pro Wrestling Noah. Nakamura recently had an interview with Shueisha’s Weekly Playboy News, in which he discussed his approach to Kommandas, Kinnikuman, and his first voice-over work.
“This is my first time voice acting, but since I’m always fighting and shouting in the ring, I think I was able to deliver a realistic performance. I am honored to be able to appear in Kinnikuman, a series that I have been familiar with since I was a child.

Kinnikuman Perfect Origin Arc is adapted from the manga’s longest story arc in its revival era of the same name, which consisted of 22 volumes and 208 chapters. Kinnikuman was created by the duo, Yudetamago, which consists of Yoshinori Nakai and Takashi Shimada. Yudetamago first launched the iconic Wrestling manga in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump in 1979 and ended in 1987, the series would continue its story from the original title with Kinnikuman (2011), a series that is still ongoing and published in Shueisha’s Shū Play News (Weekly Playboy) magazine, with the manga’s 88th volume going on sale April 4, 2025. Kinnikuman Perfect Origin Arc the Anime is available now to stream on Netflix.

Prince Kinnikuman, who came to Earth from Kinnikusei, a planet at the end of the universe, was always ridiculed by humans as a useless Chojin. However, by chance, he was given the right to participate in the Chojin World Cup, a tournament to determine the world’s best Chojin, and by a miracle, he won the championship. The following year, he even won it again!
Since then, he has become a central figure among Seigi Chojin who protects the peace of the universe. He returned to his home planet from Earth, got married, and said goodbye to eight years of fighting. About a year and a half later, the entire universe was supposed to be at peace…
