Dave Capdevielle and Ashley Nichols Announce The ‘Far-Fetched’ Kickstarter

Big news coming from Animation World Network, Dave Capdevielle, and Animator Ashley Nichols shared news on a Kickstarter Pre-Launch for Far-Fetched, for their all-new animated pilot about Sesamoid, a fictional band of misfit musicians who are primed to skyrocket to untold fame and fortune.

What is Far-Fetched? It follows Rue, described as a walking quarter-life disaster and a proud new owner of a mistakenly unleashed Deviant Art Creature named Kira. With her life in shambles, a childhood friend and hubris incarnate, Quinn drags her into his band called Sesamoid which consists of fellow members Piper, Warren, and Griff. The series has a 1980s Horror Comedy vibe set in the gothic/nerd culture of the mid-2000s.

Both Writer, Dave Capdevielle (Lackadaisy, Hazbin Hotel, Starter Squad) and animator, Ashley Nichols (Lackadaisy, Hazbin Hotel, The Amazing Digital Circus) had an exclusive interview with Animation World Network, which you can read at this link. Fun fact about this new Kickstarter, Iron Circus’ Spike Trotman is consulting on the campaign. Trotman also spoke to AWN about this new campaign, including what this campaign will have to offer. Far-Fetched is a project that fans (including yours truly) have been looking forward to, ever since the first reveal.
