Kraven The Hunter Comes To Netflix on March 13

Following in the steps of the last two Sony Spider-Man Universe films (Madame Web and Venom: The Last Dance), J.C. Chandor’s 2024 film Kraven the Hunter prepares to make its streaming debut on Netflix in seven days.

It has been a rough road for Sony and Marvel, the last three Sony Spider-Man Universe films have each flopped, Kraven the Hunter had the worst luck of the three, opening in theaters on Dec. 13, 2024, until it finished its run abruptly in mid-February, according to Forbes. It ended its domestic run with $25 million in North American ticket sales and nearly $35 million in international receipts for a final worldwide box office tally of $60 million against a $110 million production budget before prints and advertising expenses. It would later debut on digital streaming via premium video on demand on Jan. 14. Now, two months later, it is making its debut on Netflix on March 13, exactly three months after its theatrical debut.

Kraven the Hunter starred Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Kraven (Sergei Nikolaevich Kravinoff) and Russell Crowe as Nikolai Kravinoff (still crazy to think that Russell Crowe also portrayed Zeus in Thor: Love and Thunder, and as Jor-el in DC’s Man of Steel.) Kraven the Hunter made his debut in The Amazing Spider-Man Issue No. 17 (August 1964), created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko.
