BLAST ZERO shared a fun behind-the-scenes look at the upcoming Pizza Cats game, showing the hand-drawn animation process for the upcoming game. It is refreshing to see, unlike other companies such as Microsoft, who are pushing AI-GENERATED Slop in Game Creation, and animation studios such as K&K Design. Gematsu has exclusive comments from the Seiyuu who voiced the Samurai Pizza Cats, thanks to Red Dune Games.

Samurai Pizza Cats, better known in Japan as Kyatto Ninden Teyandee (Cat Ninja Legend Teyandee) made its debut on TV Tokyo from February 1, 1990, to February 12, 1991, for a total of 54 episodes, it would later be licensed by Saban Entertainment to be shown in North America and translated into English. Some episodes of the dubbed version were never aired in the United States, due to censorship issues. Samurai Pizza Cats was released on Blu-ray via Discotek Media in 2016 but is now out of print. You can watch Samurai Pizza Cats on Prime Video for free (with ads).

It’s felines fighting felons in this fantastic furry farce! A mixed-up city of old and new, Little Tokyo is an old-fashioned Japanese city populated by robotic animals, where samurai cats working out of a pizzeria punish packs of pugnacious pillagers all to protect the peace of the people.

They’ve got their work cut out for them, for in between the speedy delivery of pizza pies, the dirty rat (quite literally) of a politician named “Big Cheese” plots to control the city, and with his reach far exceeding his grasp, he’s continually cooking up constantly crazier contrivances!
