Trying to shake off another humiliating Network Outage, Sony aimed to change the subject with the first State of Play of 2025. This latest event unveiled plenty of games to look forward to, which includes a brand-new Five Nights at Freddy’s and Sonic Crossworlds. Monster Hunter Wilds Gets A Free Title Update Ahead of Launch
One of the hottest titles of the year is preparing to get a free title update ahead of its launch. Monster Hunter Wilds is getting its first post-launch update this spring, unleashing the water monster, Mizutsune, event quests, and additional updates that will be followed up with another free title update that will introduce an additional monster and more event quests in Summer 2025. As a reminder, the second Open Beta Test will begin on Thursday, February 13 at 7:00 pm through Sunday, February 16 at 6:59 pm (Players must have a PlayStation Network account). Monster Hunter Wilds goes live for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on February 28, 2025.
Borderlands 4 Finally Gets a Release Date
The Borderlands film couldn’t cut it, but Borderlands 4 looks to make up for it with new gameplay elements. But for now, there isn’t much information to go with until its very own State of Play event this spring. For now, Borderlands 4 will launch on September 23, 2025, on Playstation 5, XBox Series X|S, and PC.
WWE 2k25 Spotlights It’s Social Multi-player Hub, The Island
WWE 2k25 Spotlights Its newest Social Multi-Player Hub, and I would like to point out before going further into it, this is NOT available for the PlayStation 4 version, only available exclusively on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series versions. The Island is a multiplayer interactive world where players can take their custom wrestlers and explore, take on challenges, and develop storylines. Essentially a Pro-Wrestling version of The City from the NBA 2k series. WWE 2k25 will be available on March 14, 2025, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater Release Date Finally Confirmed
Metal Gear Fans, rejoice! Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is finally coming to consoles soon. Snake Eater is set to be released on August 28, 2025, after being leaked by the PlayStation Store last week. The trailer also teased new crossovers, including an Ape Escape collaboration. It will be available on PlayStation 5, XBox Series X, and PC.
SEGA brings back a classic game for the Modern Age with SHINOBI: Art of Vengence
From the team that brought you Streets of Rage 4 comes a new take on another classic franchise. SEGA and LizardCube’s Shinobi: Art of Vengence‘s new trailer showcases its beautiful 2D platforming style combat system and hand-drawn worlds. It is now available to pre-order for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X | S. Pre-orders for Nintendo Switch will be made available at an unspecified point in the future.
