Sonic the Hedgehog 3 Reveals Digital and Blu-ray Release Dates

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 has been competing with the likes of Disney’s Mufasa, Universal Pictures’ Wolf Man, and Sony’s One Of Them Days at the Box Office, but Sonic and the Gang are preparing to leap onto Digital this week as Paramount announced that the movie will be available digitally to rent or own starting today. But fans of physical media will have to wait a little longer.

Unfortunately for those who want a Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K Ultra HD copy, they have to wait until April 15. Fans will also have another option of picking up a steel book edition. The Shadow Steel Book Edition is an Amazon Exclusive, these are available for pre-order and you can check it out by clicking on the images below. The Digital version of the film is available now to buy or rent on Amazon, with a 3-film Digital Collection available to purchase.

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 opened in Theaters on December 20, 2024, featuring the return of cast members Ben Schwartz, Colleen O’Shaughnessey, Idris Elba, Jim Carrey, James Marsden, Tika Sumpter, and Lee Majdoub. It also featured actor Keanu Reeves who took on the role of Shadow the Hedgehog, and Jim Carrey took on another role in the film (Keep in mind, it was “For the Money” on his return) as Professor Gerald Robotnik, Ivo Robotnik’s Grandfather. The third film celebrated a new milestone, speeding past the $1 Billion mark at the Global Box Office, making it the highest-grossing film in the Sonic film franchise. Paramount recently announced that the fourth film is in development. Shadow played a big role in the new video game Sonic x Shadow Generations, which is available now for the following consoles: Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Windows.
