TV Asahi and Toei Animation have revealed new information for the newest entry into the Precure Franchise titled You and Idol Precure♪ (Kimi to Idol Precure♪). A new trailer, cast/staff list, and release date were announced for the new anime series, bringing it to premiere next month.
It is the 22nd installment in the Precure Franchise, succeeding Wonderful Precure! The new series will premiere on ABC TV, TV Asahi, and 22 other affiliated channels throughout Japan on February 2 at 8:30 a.m. (February 1 at 6:30 p.m.). It will also run on the Broadcasting System of San-in, as well as on the TVer service, and various streaming services. Chihaya Yoshitake and Ami Ishii will be making their return from Wonderful Precure to perform the opening theme song “Kimi to Idol Precure♪ Light Up!” with Akane Kumada in her franchise debut. Meanwhile, the new Precure heroines will be performing the ending theme titled Trio Dreams. Speaking of performances, the trio will also be getting ready for their very first single! Cure Idol, Cure Wink, and Cure Kyunkyun’s debut CD single will also be available on February 26, 2025. The single includes full-size versions of the solo stage songs that the three perform in the story. The limited edition CD single will cost 4,400 yen (excluding tax) and the regular edition will cost 2,000 yen, a special thanks to MARVELOUS for the information on the new CD.

As for the staff, Chiaki Kon joins the series, serving as its director, with Yoichi Kato overseeing the series’s scripts. Miho Sugimoto is designing the characters. Rie Iida is designing the art, and Tong Nian Chen is directing the art. Kumiko Yanagisawa is the color key artist. Erika Fukasawa and Misaki Umase are composing the music. Also, a special reminder for fans of the Precure series, You and Idol Precure♪ will be having its first event, Orhirome Debut Live! Will be happening on February 1 at the Yokohama Landmark Tower in Kanagawa Prefecture, followed by Aichi’s Aeon Mall Nagoya Chaya on February 16, and finally, heading to Osaka’s Grand Front Osaka on March 15. The new event will feature a PreCure Idol Live Show, encouraging fans to come join the fun, to sing, and to cheer them on.
