It was one holiday weekend to remember at the US Box Office, but it was the Sorcerer King Ains Ooal Gown and his undead army that made their mark in the Top 15, bringing in $1,225,277 with the newest chapter in the Overlord Anime Series, Overlord: The Sacred Kingdom.
It made its debut on Friday, November 8, bringing in $555,000. The Numbers would begin to rise as it reached Saturday with $895,000, and reached a total of $1,165,000 on Sunday for the weekend. It would finish its run on Monday with $1,225,277.

When Overlord: The Sacred Kingdom made its debut in Japan, the film sold 198,000 tickets and earned 317,859,004 yen (about US$2.19 million). The film has earned a cumulative total of 910,185,100 yen (about US$6.09 million) in Japan as of October 13. The OVERLORD TV Anime is based on a light novel series written by Kugane Maruyama and illustrated by so-bin. A manga adaptation by Satoshi Ōshio, with art by Hugin Miyama, began serialization in Kadokawa Shoten’s manga magazine Comp Ace on November 26, 2014. Both the light novels and the manga have been licensed in North America by Yen Press since 2016. The Overlord TV Anime is available to watch on Crunchyroll.
