Our favorite vehicular-themed Sentai team has been teaching kids proper safety tips and of course, fighting evil. Like most races, it’s the final lap that can be the most difficult, in this case, we’re seeing our heroes preparing for their greatest challenge and threat, the leader of the Great Space Invasion Running Team Hashiriyan, Waruido Spindo (Koji Yusa).
The new key visual for the Final Lap of Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger was recently released, and in plain sight was a very familiar flag. It’s the pirate flag from the 35th Super Sentai Series, Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger! Following the past appearances of Go-On Red and ToQ 1gou, perhaps we’ll see the return of Captain Marvelous in the future! The title for this season will be Final Lap (Space, Earth, and Your Steering Wheel). There will be another visual for the Final Lap coming up on November 3rd, but this new season will begin with Episode 36 after a one-week break due to Culture Day, it will air on November 10.
Finally, a new manga tie-in story is available now on the Toei Tokusatsu Fan Club app titled Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger Formation Lap: The Secret of the Information Broker (For Your Eyes Only!). The title will be written by Saburo Yatsude (also credited in the Power Rangers Series as Saburo Hatte) and supervised by Atsuhiro Tomioka. For Comic planning and production, we have Takehiro Okawa and Reijin Kuji. The story focuses on the first encounter between Taiya Hando (Bun Red) and Ishiro Meita (Bun Blue), personalities clash and a new partnership is formed, serving as Boonboomger Episode Zero! The next episode will be available on November 10, and new episodes will be posted every Sunday.
After graduating from a spy training academy with top grades, Ishiro Meita was described as an agent who was a lone wolf, he didn’t belong to any organization. That would change one day when he received a request to search for the whereabouts of an “Unidentified Flying Object” that had come from outside our Solar System. Ishiro infiltrated the home of the mysterious billionaire, Taiya Hando.
Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger is the 48th entry into the Super Sentai Franchise, Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger is the Fifth Sentai Team in the Reiwa Era, following other Reiwa Sentai Heroes such as Mashin Sentai Kiramager, Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger, Avataro Sentai Donbrothers, and Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger. You can catch Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger on TV Asahi’s Super Hero Time at 9:30 am JST along with Kamen Rider Gavv.
