Toei Animation Unveils New Cast, Trailer, and Opening Theme for Dragon Ball Daima

We’re celebrating the 40th Anniversary of Akira Toriyama’s Dragon Ball with a treasure trove of new information for the upcoming animated series, Dragon Ball Daima.

The opening theme, Jaka Jaan has been described as a Super Collaboration involving the Grammy-winning DJ/Producer, Zedd, C&K, and Yukinojo Mori (known for “CHA-LA HEAD-CHA-LA” and “Limit Break x Survivor.”). The series will be taking Goku into the Demon Realm, who will be joined by three new characters! Supreme Kai (Mini), and the new characters Glorio and Panzy. Just a reminder for those who don’t know, Dragon Ball Daima will have its world premiere at a special “Dragon Ball Daimatsuri” (with “Daimatsuri” combining the words “Daima” and matsuri, which means festival) event on October 6 at Tokyo Big Sight. There will be three screenings of the anime’s first episode at 10:00 a.m., 2:15 p.m., and 6:00 p.m., and cast members will be in attendance during the first two. The event, which commemorates the 40th anniversary of the series, is free, but it requires a lottery for tickets. The premiere airing of the series in Japan will be on October 11th (Fri) at 11:40 P.M. JST.
