You may recall the previous coverage for this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, there was a surprise announcement regarding a new collaboration project involving Marvel, Viz Media, Tsuburaya Productions, and Shogakukan for Ultraman: Along Came a Spider-Man, a new promotional video was released for the newly released manga crossover.
Shogakukan’s Monthly Magazine, CoroCoro Comic, and the Official Ultraman YouTube Channels both released a brand-new promotional video today to celebrate the new crossover manga’s launch on August 13 in the US (August 14 in Japan), the first two chapters were distributed on Viz Media’s Manga app and website, while in Japan it was distributed on Shogakukan’s CuroCuro Website. New chapters are released every Tuesday, with the latest chapter each week being available for free, and readers can subscribe to VIZ Manga to read the full series. VIZ will also publish a print edition of the complete manga in the United States, set to hit retail in Summer 2025.

It is written by Shigenobu Matsumoto (Duel Masters, Duel Masters: Fighting Edge, Duel Masters: Lunatic God Saga) and illustrated by Tomo Hirokawa (Muv-Luv Unlimited, Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycrosis, Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization) for this first-time team up. Two Mighty Heroes Meeting for the First Time! Spider-Man meets Ultraman, while one of Marvel’s greatest supervillains of all time, Doctor Doom, who joins forces with Ultraman arch-nemesis Alien Mefilas and his cadre of destructive Kaiju, with cameo appearances by The Avengers.
