Recently, a brief teaser was released for the upcoming Kamen Rider TV series, Kamen Rider Gavv! But now, the main cast and staff have been revealed at the recent news conference (Unfortunately, the video was region-locked), which also includes Gavv’s newest enemies, the Granutes and the Stomach Family!
Cast:
Sachika Amane- Nozomi Miyabe (Tonari no Nurse Aide, From Me To You, Where Did My Skirt Go?)
Sachika Amane runs the Hapipare General Store, Amane has been described as a happy, energetic “Gal” who cares for everybody’s happiness.
Kamen Rider Valen /Hanto Karakida– Yusuke Hino
Hanto Karakida has been described as being bold and ambitious, Karakida is also a freelance writer who follows Criminal Cases and happenings in town, which include the rise of the Granute! After an unknown incident, Hanto found himself thrown into the battle against these new creatures!
The Stomach Family:
Rango Stomach- Takashi Tsukamoto (Cop Seven, He Who Can’t Marry, Yips)
The Eldest Son of the Stomach Family and Current President of the Stomach Confectionery Company, The Company has ruled over the Sweets World and Industry. Rango has been described as not only charismatic and with management skills, but he leads with a powerful, yet intimidating presence.
Grotta Stomach- Machi Chitose
Serving as an Overseer of the Stomach Confectionery Company, Grotta is the Eldest Daughter, who is well-known for her powerful physical strength and her strong attitude.
Nierve Stomach- Ryo Takizawa (Yu-Gi-Oh!: Go Rush!!, Dancing☆Star Precure the Stage, Real Fighting Hajime no Ippo: The Glorious Stage!!)
He is the second son and is in charge of the Stomach Company’s Technological Development Division. While he wears a gentle smile, there hides something cold and sinister behind it.
Theta Stomach– Honoka Kawasaki (Himitsu × Senshi Phantomirage!)
Jeep Stomach– Ruito Koga (Nier: Automata Ver1.1a, Fruits Basket the Stage
The Mischievous Stomach Twins are the Procurers of the Stomach Company’s Ingredients for their sweets.
For staff, Teruaki Sugihara (Kaitou Sentai Lupinranger VS Keisatsu Sentai Patranger, Kamen Rider Geats, Kamen Rider Revice) will serve as the Director, for producers we have Takehiro Ohkawa (Kamen Rider Gotchard, Kamen Rider Gotchard: The Future Daybreak), and Keisuke Shibataka (Kamen Rider Gotchard, Kamen Rider Gotchard: The Future Daybreak), Naomi Takebe (Kamen Rider Decade, Kamen Rider Amazons, Kamen Rider Zi-O), and Minami Takishima. Gô Sakabe (Date a Live, Kamen Rider Zero-One, Ultraman Trigger: New Generation Tiga) will be the series’ music composer, Hiroshi Butsuda (Kyuukyuu Sentai GoGoFive, Chouriki Sentai Ohranger, Mirai Sentai Timeranger) serving as the Series Special Effects Director, and Satoshi Fujita (Kamen Rider Ex-Aid, Kamen Rider Build, Kamen Rider Zero-One) as the Action Director. As always, legendary manga creator, Shotaro Ishinomori has been credited as the Original Creator.
An Advance Screening for Kamen Rider Gavv will be held on August 25, the following cast will be making an appearance at the event: Hidekazu Chinen (Shoma), Yusuke Hino (Kamen Rider Valen /Hanto Karakida), Machi Chitose (Grotta Stomach), and Ryo Takizawa (Nierve Stomach). As for the staff, pilot director Teruaki Sugihara, action director Satoshi Fujita, and producer Naomi Takebe.
Kamen Rider Gavv is the sixth Kamen Rider in the Reiwa Era, following behind five other heroic riders such as Saber, Zero-One, Revice, Geats, and Gotchard. It is also the thirty-ninth Kamen Rider Series in the franchise, Kamen Rider Gavv will debut on September 1, 2024 on TV Asahi’s Superhero timeblock with Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger at 9:00 am JST.
