Dynamite Gains More Licenses From Warner Bros. Discovery

With the success of Space Ghost and Thundercats, Comic Book Publisher Dynamite Entertainment gained five more licenses from Warner Bros Discovery. The new licenses consist of Ben 10, Captain Planet and the Planeteers, Thundarr the Barbarian, The Herculoids, and Dynomutt & Blue Falcon. For more on this story, head over to Comics Beat.

Ultraman Blazar Series and Film to Be Released In North America and Ultraman and Spider-Man Crossover Manga Has  Announced

The Ultraman Panel kicked off on Friday with an overview of the Ultraman Universe, Tsuburaya’s newest show, Ultraman Arc, Ultraman Rising, and the launch of the Official Ultraman English YouTube Channel. It was confirmed that Mill Creek Entertainment will be releasing the recent Ultraman series, Ultraman Blazar, and its new film in North America, no release date confirmed though. The Complete Series and Movie Collection for Ultraman Taiga will be released this week.

Two Titans of the Tokusatsu genre are finally going to have that crossover as Spider-Man teams up with Ultraman for a new Crossover Manga title. Manga publisher Shogakukan joins Tsuburaya Productions and Marvel Comics for a special collaboration involving Marvel’s Spider-Man and Japan’s greatest Superhero, Ultraman for a new serialized manga titled Ultraman: Along Came A Spider-Man. Written by Shigenobu Matsumoto (Duel Masters, Duel Masters: Fighting Edge, Duel Masters: Lunatic God Saga) and illustrated by Tomo Hirokawa (Muv-Luv Unlimited, Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycrosis, Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization) for this first-time team up. The manga will feature one of the greatest Marvel Villains of all time, Doctor Doom, who has joined forces with Ultraman Arch-Nemesis, Alien Mefilas, and his cadre of destructive Kaiju, it will also feature cameo appearances by the Avengers. Marvel Comics Executive Editor Tom Brevoort and Tsuburaya Fields Media & Pictures Entertainment’s Transmedia Producer Jeff Gomez served as creative consultants for the series. It will be distributed in the United States by VIZ Media, kicking off with chapters 1 and 2 on August 13 in the US (August 14 Japan time), making for a truly global event. VIZ is launching the manga series digitally on the VIZ Manga app, with new chapters released every Tuesday. The latest chapter each week will be available for free, and readers can subscribe to VIZ Manga to read the full series. VIZ will also publish a print edition of the complete manga in the United States, set to hit retail in Summer 2025. Finally, new details have emerged for the long-awaited Marvel Crossover, Ultraman x Avengers, which will see Ultraman taking on the most powerful supervillain of all time, Galactus. The first issue of the four-issue miniseries will also go on sale on August 14.

San Diego Comic-Con has always been known for its crazy and strangest promotions for upcoming Television Shows, Comic Books, and Films, but this one was the Fowlest promotion I have ever seen! Based on Shu Sakuratani‘s Seinen Manga series titled Rooster Fighter! Viz Media confirmed that the anime series is currently in production and will debut on Adult Swim, Daisuke Suzuki will direct the series at the animation studio Sanzigen. Hiroshi Seko will also provide the series composition. It will be produced by Sanzigen and Sola Entertainment.

Marvel Teases New Deadpool, Ultron Joining The West Coast Avengers, and more.

Marvel has a lot to celebrate, Deadpool & Wolverine breaking box office records over the weekend, and announcing new upcoming projects such as this surprising reveal that Wade Wilson will be meeting his end at the hands of a new supervillain named Death Grip in September’s issue of Deadpool Issue No. 6. Who will be taking up the mantle of Deadpool? Well, that’ll be Wade’s daughter, Ellie Camacho starting in Deadpool Issue No. 7, on sale October 2. With a new hero, comes a new creative team, starting with the writing duo of Cody Ziglar & Alexis Quasarano and Illustration by Andrea Di Vito.
