Fans of the manga series have rejoiced regarding the news about the new series, especially among those in the Voice Actor Community. Ranma 1/2 was first serialized in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine from August 1986 to March 1996, consisting of 407 chapters collected into 38 tankōbon volumes. The manga would inspire two anime adaptations, three animated films, 11 OVAs, 17 video game adaptions, and a live-action special. Viz Media publishes the manga for English Audiences and has it available to read on their website.

Years ago, Genma promised his old friend Soun Tendo that Ranma would marry one of Soun’s three daughters and carry on the family’s martial arts school. Except that the girl picked to be Ranma’s bride doesn’t seem to like him, Ranma keeps getting into fights…and did we mention that whole changing into a girl thing?
