Viz Media Saves RWBY From The Depths Of Being Shelved

After being Kicked In The Rooster Teeth in March, there is good news. Our favorite heroines have found a new home with Viz Media!

The announcement was made early yesterday that featured a new video that featured a special message from Kerry Shawcross (RWBY showrunner and co-creator) and Barbara Dunkelman (Voice of Yang Xiao Long).

While Viz Media now owns the rights for future distribution, production, licensing, and consumer products. The company is exploring the production of new chapters in the series. Viz Media also released a FAQ explaining the state of RWBY’s social media accounts, confirming that Kerry Shawcross, series showrunner and co-creator, will be involved with the next phase of RWBY and that there aren’t any new updates regarding Volume 10 of RWBY. In March, Warner Bros. Discovery was in talks to sell certain Rooster Teeth catalog and intellectual properties such as their other anime-inspired series, Michael B. Jordan’s animated mecha series GEN:LOCK, their pioneering Sci-Fi parody Red Vs. Blue, whose final season was made into a full-length movie, The Company sold the Roost podcast network in April to Night, the talent management company for several big YouTubers and Twitch streamers including MrBeast.
