The Warner Bros Japan panel at the Anime Expo had a Super-Villian party with SUICIDE SQUAD ISEKAI and a new update on the Batman Ninja Sequel film, Batman Ninja Vs. Yakuza League. We got new visuals for the Yakuza League, a new visual for the film, and the first teaser trailer.
The Yakuza League consists of alternate versions of Batman’s Justice League Allies, Green Lantern (Jessica Cruz), Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and The Flash. It isn’t surprising that Batman is going up against this version of the league, it is very similar to Earth Three’s Crime Syndicate it seems.
Junpei Mizusaki (Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure) will be returning to direct the sequel film at studio Kamikaze Douga, with co-direction by Shinji Takagi, screenplay by Kazuki Nakashima (Promare), character design by Takashi Okazaki (Afro Samurai), and music by Yugo Kanno (PSYCHO-PASS). Koichi Yamadera (Cowboy Bebop, Ghost In The Shell, Kamen Rider Zero-One) as Batman/Bruce Wayne.
Warner Bros released the movie digitally in April 2018, while it was released on Home Video in May 2018. The release included not only the English Dub but also the Japanese audio track as well, the movie would later make its debut in Japanese Theaters in June 2018 with a Japanese Voice Cast. Also during that month in Shogakukan’s Monthly Hero, a Manga would be launched with Nobunagun’s Masato Hisa overseeing the project.
