We’re certainly seeing a rise in nostalgic anime revivals lately, this time, it’s for the 30th Anniversary of CLAMP’s Isekai Series, Magic Knight Rayearth. The announcement was made on Rayearth’s Official Twitter account, accompanied by a new visual and promotional video.

The new trailer, however, did not exactly offer new footage for the upcoming project but showed footage from the first anime adaptation that ran from 1994 to 1995. Confirming that TMS Entertainment will be handling the animation production.
Magical Knight Rayearth was first serialized in Kodansha’s Nakayoshi Magazine, the series ran from November 1993 to February 1995, consisting of three bound volumes. It would also receive a sequel that was also serialized in the same magazine from March 1995 to April 1996. It would inspire an anime adaptation, a three-part OVA, and several video game adaptions.
Also, if you’re in Minato Japan, be sure to visit the National Art Center, Tokyo for an Art Exhibition featuring original manga artwork from CLAMP. The exhibition will be running from July 3 to September 23, featuring over 800 pieces of their artwork. The venue will be a massive area that measures 2,000m2 and 8m high, making it the largest exhibition ever held. While on a field trip to Tokyo Tower, three teenage girls cross a magical portal and are transported to another world called Cefiro. There they are summoned through the last remaining strength of the Princess Emeraude, who believes the trio will become the magic knights who will save her, as prophesied by legend.
