With the success of My Adventures with Superman, DC, and Warner Bros Animation aimed to capitalize with their Caped Crusading Cash Cow, Batman. Prime Video released a new trailer recently for Batman: Caped Crusader and it revealed a brewing Gang War in Gotham City, not to mention a Police Campaign that looked to take down Batman as well.
The newest trailer showed us a familiar Gotham, one that hasn’t been seen in years since many are so familiar with the Dark Knight in Modern Times. It was the Golden Age, an era in which Batman thrived, thanks to the contribution of Writer Bill Finger and Artist Bob Kane (before Kane took credit for creating Batman, and everything else involving the hero and his rogues.). For example, the GCPD spells out Bat-Man on the board, the detail to Batman’s costume, and the Batmobile, a nod to Detective Comics #27. It also previewed Hamish Linklater’s performance as Bruce Wayne/Batman.

But we got to see a new look at Batman’s rogue gallery in this new animated adaption, including Kevin Smith and Phil Hester’s Green Arrow Villain, Onomatopoeia, who made his appearance in Green Arrow Issue #13 (March 2002). Catwoman (voiced by Christina Ricci), Harley Quinn (voiced by Jamie Chung), and Harvey Dent/Two-Face (voiced by Diedrich Bader) amongst other familiar foes. Batman: Caped Crusader comes from Warner Bros Animation, Bad Robot Productions, and 6th & Idaho. The Executive Producer Credits consist of “Batman: The Animated Series” co-creator Bruce Timm, J.J. Abrams, “The Batman” director Matt Reeves, Ed Brubaker, James Tucker, Daniel Pipski, Rachel Rusch Rich, and Sam Register.
Batman was created by writer Bill Finger and artist Bob Kane, Batman made his debut in Detective Comics Issue #27 on March 30, 1939. Since his debut, Batman has made numerous appearances in Comic Books, Animation, Radio and Film serials, television, films, and video games.
