There was a lot to take in at this month’s Nintendo Direct. Three monumental announcements were revealed today, and each one made fans lose their minds completely, Capcom finally giving fans that long-awaited Marvel vs Capcom collection, Rare’s Perfect Dark got that Nintendo Switch Online release, and Metroid Prime 4 finally has a release date window. Let’s take a look at the newest announcements:

Mario & Luigi: Brothership Comes to the Nintendo Switch in November

Starting the Direct Showcase was the first Mario & Luigi entry in nine years, Mario & Luigi: Brothership! Those Mario Brothers are about to go island-hopping adventure on the Part-Ship, Part-Island called ShipShape Land. As Mario and Luigi journey across Concordia, they will visit rainforests, cities, and more alongside running into Peach, Bowser, and other Mushroom Kingdom favorites. Mario & Luigi: Brothership will be available on the Nintendo Switch on November 7.

Try your hand at Legend Mode & Survival Challenge in Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition

Next up was the Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition, this new trailer showcased a new mode and over 150 speedrunning challenges players will get to try from 13 NES Games. It will be available to buy on July 18.

The Final Battle Begins In Fairy Tale 2

If you were hoping for more Fairy Tail, then Koei Tecmo has what you’re looking for! Fairy Tail 2 will be adapting Hiro Mashima’s Fairy Tail story arc Alvarez Empire. In this sequel, players will be able to control Natsu, Lucy, and other Fairy Tail Guild members. There will be new “Character Stories” and an original story, “Key to Hidden Secrets,” featuring events that take place after the final battle. Fairy Tail 2 will be coming to the Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4, Playstation 5, and PC in Winter 2024.

Fantasian: Neo Dimension is a full-fledged story-driven RPG with turn-based combat that features music composed by the legendary Final Fantasy composer, Nobuo Uematsu. One of the best parts about this enhanced edition is that it offers English and Japanese voiceovers, and an additional difficulty. Fantasian: Neo Dimension launches on Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam this Winter.

Focus Entertainment and Douze Dixièmes Unveils Its New Metroidvanian Game, MIO: Memories In Orbit

From the developers who brought you Shady Part of Me bring you a new SF odyssey that brings together Metroidvania and a unique art-directed game called MIO: Memories In Orbit. As robot MIO, players will explore and conquer the Vessel, a gigantic and mazelike spaceship, to save it from extinction. Time to go on another adventure in Hello Kitty: Island Adventure!

It’s Animal Crossing meets Sanrio as Hello Kitty Island Adventure has been unveiled, bringing iconic characters such as Hello Kitty, Kuromi, My Melody, and Cinnamoroll together for a fun, cozy adventure-themed game. This is another Apple exclusive that was originally available on Apple Arcade, it’s a positive sign that more Apple Exclusive titles may lead to other ports of popular games such as SEGA’s Sonic Dream Team. Hello Kitty Island Adventure makes its way to Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4, Playstation 5, and PC in 2025.
