We’re a month away from the premiere of Gekijōban Mononoke: Karakasa (Paper Umbrella), and two days ago, Twin Engines uploaded a new extended trailer for the upcoming anime film.
In this new trailer, we get to see more of a look into the extended cast, the trailer titled Omote no Kan highlights both the ōoku area inside the palace for the women and their maidservants, and then we have the omote area where the men carry out the duties of the Government.
The film is set to premiere on July 26, it was originally set to debut last year but it was delayed. EOTA and Twin Engine are handling the animation production with Kenji Nakamura returning to direct the Mononoke Film. The anime series premiered in 2007 and consisted of 12 episodes, Mononoke was a spin-off series of Ayakashi – Samurai Horror Tales. You can watch the Mononoke anime series on Crunchyroll. Also, available now on the Twin Engine YouTube Channel is a special program featuring the lead actor Hiroshi Kamiya (Medicine Seller), Director Kenji Nakamura, and producer Kōji Yamamoto.
