Netflix added another Dragon Quest series to its anime lineup. The anime adaptation of Riku Sanjō and Kōji Inada’s Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai. A series that many have considered to be overlooked.
The anime adaptation is based on the manga written by Riku Sanjō, illustrated by Kōji Inada, and based on the iconic Dragon Quest Game Franchise. It made its debut in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump in October 1989 and ended in December 1996. The series is collected in 37 tankobon volumes and consists of two spin-off manga titles, two animated adaptations, and three video game adaptions.
It will feature both the Sub and Dub versions of the series. The series premiered in October 2020 and ended in October 2022. Crunchyroll and Hulu streamed the anime as it aired in Japan, with Hoopla also streaming the English Dub.
