Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger Gets A New Trailer and Cast List

It’s finally here! Toei held a press conference recently for the upcoming Super Sentai series, Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger! The press conference presented the newest sentai team and their new foes, Hashiyra and the Hashiryan Generals!

After a long battle with the Uchu King, Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger has passed the baton to a new generation of heroes. The new generation’s mission is to carry on the never-ending fight against evil. Listed below is the new team of Sentai and their villainous foes:

Bun Red/Taiya Hando– Haruhi Iuchi

Bun Blue/Ishiro Meita– Yuki Hayama

Bun Pink/Mira Shifuto– Miu Suzuki

Bun Black/Jou Akuse– Ryu Saito

For a detailed breakdown of the press conference, head over to Tokunation. For the first time in Super Sentai Franchise History, a Character’s song will be used as an ED theme. Performing Kotokotsu-PON-PON will be Bundorio Bunderas (Rica Matsumoto)! The CD with both the OP and ED theme will be available to buy on April 3. The creative team and staff were previously announced with Shojiro Nakazawa (Kamen Rider EX-AID, Kamen Rider Geats: 4 Aces and The Black Fox, Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger) will be directing the series, Atsuhiro Tomioka (Captain Tsubasa, Chrono Crusade, Pokemon) will write the screenplay, and Jun Watanbe (Engine Sentai Go-onger, Kamen Rider Build, and Kamen Rider EX-AID) is the action director, and Hiroshi Butsuda (Ninja Sentai Kakuranger, Chouniki Sentai Ohranger, and Kyukyu Sentai GoGoFive) is the SFX Director.

With this being the 48th entry into the Super Sentai Franchise, Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger is the Fifth Sentai Team in the Reiwa Era, following other Reiwa Sentai Heroes such as Mashin Sentai Kiramager, Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger, Avataro Sentai Donbrothers, and Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger. The series will debut on March 3, 2024, at 9:30 am JST on TV Asahi’s Super Hero Time Line-up, joining Kamen Rider Gotchard.
