Warner Bros Japan released a new cast list for the upcoming anime series Suicide Squad ISEKAI. In the new cast list, we have three familiar faces and three new characters.
Joining the series are Rick Flag, Katana, and the co-leader of Task Force X, Amanda Waller. Three new original characters were also included in the announcement, Aldora, Fione, and Cecil. The new cast members are:

Rick Flag– Taku Yashiro (Yu-Gi-Oh Vrains, Tiger Mask W, Pokémon Horizons)

Katana– Chika Anzai (Sound! Euphonium, Sakura Quest, SSSS.Dynazenon)

Amanda Waller– Kujira (Naruto, One Piece, BEASTARS)

Aldora– Mamiko Noto (Recovery of an MMO Junkie, Aikatsu!, Witchblade)

Fione– Reina Ueda (How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom, SSSS.Gridman, DR. STONE)

Cecil– Jun Fukushima (Konosuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World!, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, Yowamushi Pedal)

A new stage show will be part of this year’s AnimeJapan on March 23, seven cast members will be appearing at the event. These cast members include: Anna Nagase (Harley Quinn), Yuuichirou Umehara (Joker), Reigo Yamaguchi (Deadshot), Jun Fukuyama (Clayface), Taku Yashiro (Rick Flag), Kujira (Amanda Waller) and Reina Ueda (Fione). The Warner Bros. Japan booth will also have the latest trailer and visuals for the series.
Eri Osoda will be directing the anime at WIT Studio with the writing team of Tappei Nagatsuki and Eiji Umehara handling the script. Original character designs will be handled by Akira Amano, and character designs adapted for animation by Naoto Hosoda, with music by Kenichiro Suehiro. The series will be released in 2024.
Suicide Squad was first introduced in September 1959 in DC’s The Brave and The Bold #25created by writer Robert Kanigher and artist Ross Andru. It would be 28 years later when the Anti-Hero/Villain team would be brought into the modern era by John Ostrander in January 1987 in DC’s Legends #3. Since the team was introduced there have been various incarnations of the team throughout the years in comics, making appearances in various animated shows, animated films, Live-Action television shows, films, and video games. The most recent appearance was in the new game Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League, the team consisting of Deadshot, Harley Quinn, Captain Boomerang (George “Digger” Harkness), and King Shark.
