Wistoria: Wand and Sword Anime Revealed For July 2024

Kodansha announced the latest manga series written by the creator of Is It Wrong To Pick Up Girls In A Dungeon‘s Fujino Ōmori and illustrated by Toshi Aoi will be getting an anime adaption and it is set to premiere in Japan in July!

In addition to this announcement, the cast and staff details were revealed. Kohei Amasaki (My Hero Academia, High Score Girl, RE: Zero: Starting Life In Another World) will voice Will Serfort and Akira Sekine (Soaring Sky! Pretty Cure, Tower of God, Fuuto PI) will voice Albis Serfort. As for the staff, Actas and Bandai Namco Pictures will be handling the animation production with Lantis handling the music. Wistoria: Wand and Sword made its serialization debut in Kodansha’s Shonen magazine Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine on December 9, 2020. The series ended its first part on May 8, 2023, with chapters compiled into nine tankobon volumes as of February 8, 2024. Kodansha USA announced at Anime NYC in 2021 that they licensed the manga for English publication. While the anime adaption is set to be released in July, fans can go to Kodansha’s K Manga app to read the manga series which has a special offer of two volumes free to read for a limited time (Ending on February 21).
