As one chapter ends, another one begins. Toei and Marvelous announced Wonderful Precure! It is the twenty-first installment of Toei’s long-running magical girl series. The new announcement was accompanied by a new Character Visual, a Voice Cast List, and a brand-new 30-second trailer.
According to the announcement, Wonderful Precure will be premiering next month on February 4, 2024 in Japan. The staff consists of Masanori Sato (Oshiri Tantei) who serves as the series director, Yoshimi Narita (Power of Hope ~Precure Full Bloom~) who will be the series composition writer, and Yoko Uchida (Jujutsu Kaisen) will be the character designer.
The voice cast will consist of Maria Naganawa (Cells at Work!, Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid, BNA: Brand New Animal) as Komugi Inukai / Cure Wonderful, and Atsumi Tanezaki (Spy x Family, Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, Dr. Stone) as Iroha Inukai / Cure Friendy. Two other characters were mentioned, Cure Nyammy and Cure Lilian, but their voice actors have not yet been revealed. The opening theme will be performed by Chihaya Yoshitake titled Wondaful Precure! evolution! Yoshitake is known for performing the ending theme songs for other Precure shows such as Star☆Twinkle Precure, and Tropical-Rouge! Precure, and the current series Soaring Sky! Precure. This will mark the first time that she has performed an opening theme for the franchise. Ami Ishii and Moeha Nochimoto are set to perform the ending theme titled FUN☆FUN☆Wonderful DAYS! Both will be available to purchase on March 27, 2024, on the Marvelous website. You can watch several Precure anime titles on Crunchyroll.
