Three months ago, it was announced that Kamen Rider Geats would be getting a brand-new V-Cinext film titled Kamen Rider Geats: Jyamato Awakening. Recently, a brand-new trailer was released along with a new visual that teases the appearance of Future Ace (Hideyoshi Kan), Queen Jyamato, and Kamen Rider Doom Geats.
The film is supposed to take place after the final episode of the series, and Kamen Rider Geats: 4 Aces and the Black Fox. The new trailer showcased the return of the Jyamato, Beroba (Ayaka Namiki), and Kamen Rider Buffa’s new form. It also revealed three new cast members that will be making an appearance in the film, Arisa Matsunaga (Bad City, Sekai wo kaenakatta futashikana tsumil) as Queen Jyamato, Masahiro Usui (Engine Sentai Go-onger, D-BOYS) as Kiyoharu, and Keigo Hagiya (7ORDER) as Aoto.
It has been confirmed that Koichi Sakamoto will be directing the film and Yuya Takahashi will handle the screenplay. Shotaro Ishinomori also has been included in the credits. The cast from the TV series has also been confirmed to return for the new VCINEXT film. The film’s new theme Dangerously will be performed by Kumi Koda.
In a special new promotion to celebrate the film’s release, a special mail-in program where you can purchase two acrylic key chains, each key chain has a unique design where you can choose either Kamen Rider Doom Geats, or Kamen Rider Buffa Plosion Rage (Which has a DX Plosion Rage Buckle available for pre-order and includes a special edition with a Blu-ray or DVD combo!) and a special Mubichike Card. The film will have a limited release in theaters starting on March 8, 2024, and will be released on Blu-Ray and DVD on July 24, 2024.
Taking place after the events of the TV series and the summer movie, it’s been a while since Ace became a “god” watching over the world.
