It’s almost here. The premiere of the newest animated film adapted from Shigeru Mizuki‘s iconic supernatural manga GeGeGe no Kitarō titled Kitaro Tajou- GeGeGe no Nazo (Kitarō Birth: The Mystery of GeGeGe), Toei released a final 90-second trailer two days ago.
In the newest trailer, we got a chance to see Kitarō, Neko Musume, and Nezumi-Otoko (Rat Man). It has also been confirmed that there will be a special stage event that will be held before the premiere at Shinjuku Wald 9 and Aeon Cinema Theaters: Chofu on Sunday, November 19 that will include Go Koga (Director), Hidenobu Kiuchi (Mizuki), Miyuki Sawashiro (Kitarō), Toshio Furukawa, and Toshihiko Seki (Kitarō’s Father). Please Note: Each Speaker for the event will vary.

The film is part of the Four Projects and serves as a commemoration of Shigeru Mizuki’s Birth. Mizuki passed away in 2015. The new film is set to debut on November 17 and serves as a way to celebrate the manga author Shigeru Mizuki’s 100th Birthday and the 100th Anniversary of GeGeGe no Kitaro.
