Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail Unveils Viper Job Class, New Collaborations and more.

In late July, we were introduced to Dawntrail, a new beach-themed expansion set in Tural. Now, we are getting to learn more about it, the new Viper Job Class, the beta test period for XBox Series X|S, a new allied tribe, and two new collaborations, thanks to the Final Fantasy Fan Festival in Europe.

Beginning with the first announcement, it is a brand-new Physical DPS Job Class, Viper. Viper Class are close-ranged dps fighters who wield two one-handed swords, which can be combined into a single two-handed weapon.

Here are several new things that will be included in Dawntrail, according to Gematsu:

  • New City – Tuliyollal, the seat of the federal nation-state governing Tural, located in the Northern Reaches of Yok Tural.
  • New Areas – The tropical region of Kozama’uka, replete with myriad rivers, streams and waterfalls, and the arid region of Shaaloani, spanning vast rain-starved plains across which a railroad is being constructed.
  • New Allied Tribe – The Moblins, a people residing in the jungles of Kozama’uka who bear a strong resemblance to the goblins with whom they share common ancestry.
  • New Threats – Eliminator
  • New Alliance Raid – Echoes of Vana’diel, a crossover series with Final Fantasy XI.
  • New Limited Job – Planned for release in the latter half of the Patch 7.x series.

Two new collaborations were also announced. The first one was a special collaboration between Final Fantasy XIV and Final Fantasy XVI titled The Path Infernal. The second collaboration involves The Fall Guys! This will be taking place with Patch 6.5.1, arriving on October 31st.
