Superman Superstars Take Over Action Comics In 2024!

Yesterday was the Metropolis All-Stars Panel for DC, and we got a first look at what will be coming our way in 2024! We got to meet the Superman Superstars and see what will be coming to Metropolis. It will consist of two phases as Jason Aaron (Avengers, Ghost Rider, Thor) makes his DC debut in a three-issue arc (Action Comics Issues 1061-1063) with artist John Timms in I, Bizarro. Meanwhile, Joshua Williamson and artist Rafa Sandoval are preparing to bring back Brainiac in a big way with House of Brainiac, which will take place in Action Comics Issues 1064-1066. It’s an All-Out War Involving Spider-Man and Wolverine!

Marvel is going all in with two of their heroes in the middle of a war! Spider-Man rallies a gang of superheroes to take down supercrime in 48 hours! It is a battle for supremacy in The Amazing Spider-Man: Gang War! Spinning out of the pages of Zeb Wells and John Romita Jr.’s hit run of AMAZING SPIDER-MAN, GANG WAR kicks off when an epic supervillain conflict erupts between the crimelords of New York City, including Kingpin, Hobgoblin, Mr. Negative, the Owl, and more. Joining Spidey are Spider-Man (Miles Morales), Luke Cage, Daredevil (Elektra), She-Hulk, and Spider-Woman, each hero will have their adventures in various tie-ins and limited series. Also, Mary Jane gets her own hero identity in a special one-shot titled Jackpot! Next up, Wolverine and Sabretooth’s rivalry is one of the bloodiest feuds in Pop Culture, but this new event takes it up a notch with Sabretooth War! Benjamin Percy and Victor LaVelle (The ChangelingThe Devil in Silver) will be teaming up with artists Cory Smith and Geoff Shaw for a ten-part epic tale starting with Wolverine Issue #41 and leading up to the finale in Wolverine Issue #50.

Viz Media Announces Their 2024 Summer Lineup

Yesterday, Viz Media announced their newest licenses that would be part of their 2024 Summer Lineup. Titles such as Nisioisin and Yuji Iwasaki’s Cipher Academy, Hiroki Tomisawa and Kentaro Hidano’s Super Smart Phone, and Koushun Takami and Yukai Asada’s Battle Royale: Enforcers. Crunchyroll to stream Kaiju No. 8 and More in 2024

Crunchyroll announced during their panel several new titles that would be available to stream on their platform, Kaiju No. 8 was the biggest announcement of the panel. The anime series will make its debut in April 2024 which also includes an English Dub as well. For a complete list of what was announced, head over to Anime News Network.

Chainsaw Man Wins The Harvey Award for Best Manga

In a new report from The Beat, the winners from last night’s Harvey Awards were announced, and one of the winners was Tatsuki Fujimoto’s Chainsaw Man. Wataru Nadatani’s Cat + Gamer (Dark Horse), Tatsuki Fujimoto’s Goodbye, Eri (Viz Media), Hayao Miyazaki’s Shuna’s Journey (First Second), and Tatsuya Endō’s SPY x FAMILY (Viz Media).
