Today is a special day, we’re celebrating that crazy, knuckle-headed ninja named Naruto Uzumaki’s birthday, and Shueisha released a special flashback manga video to celebrate the occasion.
It already is a big year for our favorite ninja, with four new episodes of the anime on the way, and Shueisha will be releasing three manga trailers, focusing on the ninja, Naruto’s journey to become Hokage, and leading up to the final fight with Sasuke at Valley of the End. Each video will be available on their Official Shonen Jump YouTube Channel.
The next video will focus on a comparison of Naruto and Sasuke on October 11, and the final video will premiere on October 12 titled Rasengan.
Naruto was drawn and illustrated by Masashi Kishimoto and was first serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from September 1999 to November 2014. The story is divided into two parts, Naruto’s pre-teen years (Volumes 1-27) to his teenage years (Volumes 28-72). It was also adapted into two anime adaptations, Naruto and Naruto Shippuden, which are both available on Crunchyroll. The series also consists of 11 animated films, 12 OVAs, light novels, stage plays, TCG, and video games. It also inspired a spin-off series focusing on Naruto’s son, Boruto, which is currently in its second phase, Boruto: Two Blue Vortex.
