The latest trailer for Doctor Who has arrived and it has brought back not only familiar faces but also the return of a foe from the early days of the First Doctor.
The Doctor (David Tennant) and his companion Donna Noble (Catherine Tate) are about to face an all-powerful threat that hasn’t been seen since 1966! I’m referring to The Toymaker, a Transcendental Being who hasn’t been seen since the Doctor and his earlier companions escaped his clutches and destroyed The Toymaker’s world.
The Toymaker is back, with a new face (Neil Patrick Harris) and a new scheme, but we’re also seeing the return of UNIT with Kate Lethbridge-Stewart (Jemma Redgrave). Doctor Who Showrunner Russel T. Davies has promised a season full of surprises and thrills for fans and new viewers alike.
Doctor Who returns in November 2023 with three special episodes with David Tennant as the Fourteenth Doctor to coincide with the 60th anniversary. Ncuti Gatwa’s first episode as the Fifteenth Doctor will air over the festive period. Doctor Who will air exclusively on BBC in the UK and Ireland, while the new season will air exclusively on Disney Plus outside the UK or Ireland.
