There is some unfortunate news coming in from Aka Akasaka’s Shueisha Twitter Account, two of the manga titles he writes for at Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump magazine will be going on a brief hiatus. The titles are Oshi no Ko, and Renai Daiko.
According to the new announcement, both titles will be going on hiatus for one month. Akasaka noted in the message that both were feeling a little unwell a little while ago but have already returned to writing, however, there will be a delay in chapters.
Also, in the message, Akasaka thanked both Nishizawa 5mm and Mengo Yokoyari for their understanding of the delay and kindly accepting it. Renai Daiko, which is illustrated by Nishizawa 5mm will make its return to Weekly Young Jump in the 41st issue on September 7th, while Oshi no Ko’s main story will go on hiatus until Weekly Young Jump’s 42nd issue, which will go on sale on September 14th. In the meantime will be serializing a four-chapter story diving into the backstory of MEMcho written by illustrator Mengo Yokoyari.
