Netflix recently announced that the long-awaited spin-off series based on Konami’s iconic video game series Castlevania will be getting a brand-new teaser trailer that will premiere on Thursday.
Castlevania: Nocturne has been confirmed to be released on September 28th. Nocturne will be set in France during the French Revolution in 1792 and will feature Richter Belmont (the descendent of the original show’s protagonists, Trevor Belmont and Sypha Belnades) and Maria Renald.
It was announced in April 2021 that Netflix was eyeing a series that was set in the same universe that the original series was set in. It would be two months later when a spin-off series would be teased by the original series’ executive producer Kevin Kolde and director Sam Deats. Richter and Maria are protagonists in the Castlevania: Rondo of Blood game, and they also appear in other games in the series including Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.
The original Castlevania animated series first premiered on Netflix in July 2017 and ended in May 2021 with Season Four. The Animated Series is an adaptation based on Konami’s iconic video game series by the same name. The Castlevania animated series is available on Netflix and Blu-Ray thanks to Viz Media.
