We have briefly seen glimpses of the Straw Hat’s beloved vessel, The Going Merry, in various teasers. But the latest visual has the ship front and center.
Making its debut on the Brand’s Official Social Media Account, The Going Merry is ready to take Luffy and the other Straw Hat Crew through the East Blue and into the Grand Line.
It was previously reported that the series will have eight episodes instead of ten, and the show will not air without Oda’s approval and satisfaction.
Production for the Live-Action Series began in February. The One Piece Live-Action Series’ main crew consists of Iñaki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy, Mackenyu as Roronoa Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, Jacob Romero Gibson as Usopp, and Taz Skylar as Sanji. Steven Maeda (Lost, The X-Files) is the writer, showrunner, and executive producer. Matt Owens (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Luke Cage) is a writer/executive producer, Marty Adelstein and Becky Clements of Tomorrow Studios alongside Oda will be serving as Executive Producers.
