Yesterday, ICv2 recently reported that top artists will be paying tribute to not only Giant-Size X-Men #1 but will be paying tribute to the creative team behind this monumental issue, Legendary Writer Len Wein and Legendary Artist Dave Cockrum.
The 200-Page Gallery Edition titled ‘Giant-Size X-Men: Tribute to Wein & Cockrum Gallery Edition‘ will be a hardcover book set to be released on July 14th, 2021. In this issue, we saw the introduction of memorable X-Men such as Nightcrawler, Colossus, and Wolverine (FYI, his first appearance was in The Incredible Hulk #181, but this was his first appearance as an X-Man) which included the first time the term “snikt” was used to describe Wolverine’s Claws popping out.
Marvel has gathered Thirty-Six of its top artists to help recreate one of the biggest comic books in history and will also feature the original story by the iconic creative duo:
